Ice Dispenser motor runs but the dispenser rod in the plastic ice bin skips and will not engage to dispense ice. Any Ideas??? I try to align the teeth on the motor and the dispenser ice bin bottom but it still skips. The motor turns (runs) freely but will not engage the shaft that moves the ice down into the dispensing shoot. I have taken off the cover plate on the top of the dispenser motor and can see no problems and the three eeth look wornly evenly. The ice bin slightly rocks on the base where the dispenser motor is located.

I solved the problem. There is a spring loaded shaft between the motor and the drive wheel. My spring loaded shaft was frozen in a compressed state. I just got a pair of needle nose pliers and pushed down and pulled up the drive wheel and the spring extended into the proper position. Now the drive wheel and the receptor on the ice bin mesh and it dispenses fine. The teeth top and bottom now mesh in place. The repair diagrams on this site are excellent.
