Model Number: KSRS25IKBL01 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years
Decided to troubleshoot my icemaker since it has not been working for a while. First, I pulled the control panel and noticed the main IC's identification tag was melted into the top of the IC. I replaced the control board since I figured it was fried. No help. I took the icemaker itself apart but did not notice any abnormalities. The next test was for the solenoid. With the system on, I connected my DMM to check the icemaker's power plug to the solenoid. Nothing other than some residual voltage. In other words, no power was being sent to the solenoid. I wish I had a schematic to see what exactly calls for power to the solenoid. Regardless, I do not want to just continue replacing parts! Any ideas? The water dispenser works by the way. Thank you very much!
