Freezer does not get cold. Suspect the Adaptive defrost timer board is bad. Just want to verify this could be the problem.

Here is your parts breakdown
Model MZD2766GEW

Here is a service manual
http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16010154.pdf

Remove the covers from the evaporator coils if they are heavily iced up it is probably a defrost problem.
Could be:
1. Adaptive board
2. Heater element burned out
3. Defrost thermostat
The most likely is the board

Also check that the evaporator fan is running.

If not iced up start looking for a different cause.

Thank you for your reply...There was no ice build up at all when I took covers off the coil. Fan works good. So I figured also it is the board. Have one on order hope will be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday. Again thanks for response.

"If not iced up start looking for a different cause."

I do not think it is the defrost board unless you had the unit off for a long time and all the ice melted off the coils. The symptom of a defrost problem is heavily iced up evaporator coils, if they are clear of ice the defrost is working.

Here is a link that should help you troubleshoot
http://www.applianceaid.com/refrigerator.html

Start by using the manual it has a troubleshooting section.

If the compressor is running and everything else looks OK, check out #20 in the above link. There are examples at the bottom of the page which indicate low freon.
