Finally got the box off the relay - it looks fine. Will be ordering motherboard tonight. Many thanks to all!!

That black cover on the box attached to the compressor doesn't want to come off - I'm assuming that is covering the relay that Denman is suggesting I check?? Tips on getting it loose?


The black cover is usually hold by a metal clamp around the center, you have to get down to be able to see it. once you get that cover out
you will see the relay, just pull it right out, you may use a flat screw driver be very gentle. look at the connections make sure they are not
burn and look at the 3 proms at the compressor that they don't have
any plastic melt on them.connections look clean replace with a new one. base on what you describe this is the most likely the cause for your compressor not to be running.
