Default Ice Maker Dissassembly
Model Number: KSRS22QGAL00   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

I am trying to repair the ICE Maker and cannot remove the front panel. I have replaced door gaskets in the past, and when you roll back the gasket on this Kitchenaid you do not find screws that normally are used to hold the gasket in place. It appears Kitchenaid uses a snapping type assmbly or a special tool. What is the trick in removing the Icemaker and door seals? Any help is appreciated. I beleive I need to replace AP2990966 and the hinge.

Front panel as in the part that is on the front of the freezer door?

If so then the trim just pops off from the front.
Look for a couple slots in the bottom that you can put a flate blade screwdriver into and pop it off.
