My unit will quit cooling on occasion. It will restart if I reset the thermostat or turn it off and back on then it operate normally for days and then shut down. I have replace the start relay and overload protector and still have the problem. What next? .

Here is your parts breakdown
Model ET8MTKXKQ00

Here is a tech sheet

First I would check in the control area/console. Could be a loose or correcec connection.
Then my guess would be the thermostat.
Next time give it a couple of taps if the unit starts up. I would replace the thermostat.

You could place your meter across the thermostat contacts if you have 115 volts when the unit is supposed to be cooling then the contacts are not closing and it needs replacing.

Only other contacts in the compressors circuit path are on the defrost board but just turning the thermostat on/off should not affect these.
