I just noticed that my Whirlpool Gold fridge w/ bottom freezer keeps running and won't shut off. The temp setting in the freezer compartment is only set on 2, and when I turned it down to see if I could get the thermostat to shut off, it wouldn't. It would only turn off when I positioned the dial all the way back to zero, and yet I still didn't hear the little "click" the thermostat normally makes. I'm guessing it needs a new thermostat, but don't know where that is located. I cannot find a service manual for this appliance although I searched 3 different online appliance manual providers, but only found a parts catalog available. Does this sound like the actual problem, and is the thermostat easy to get to in order to replace? Where is it located?
