Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with a refrigerator I bought off of someone. I only gave $50 for it and figured I could fix it for less than I could buy one. The problem is that the house had a lightning strike or power surge according to the guy and it burned up a lot of the appliances. Everything on the refrigerator seems to work fine except for the evaporator fan, which will not circulate the cold air throughout the unit. I paid an appliance repair man to check it out and he said the fan was bad. So, I wasted $100 on his labor and a replacement fan from here only to find out that the other fan was probably fine. There is just no power coming to it when I test the line with a volt meter. Everything else on that wiring harness has power. Does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong or what sends the power to the evaporator fan? I really appreciate it.

Check the sensor this might have wiring problem or its already faulty or check the fan switch. it should be normally closed. once this part are faulty this will cause the fan to malfunction.
