My 7.0 cu-ft chest freezer is about 3 years old. 2 days ago it just stopped running and everything is thawing. It is not self-defrosting. The green indicator light is still on, and I have moved the setting to maximum, still nothing. My question is, if the coils are dirty, could it be a reason why it has stopped? Not sure if I should even have it fixed, I can get a new one for about $250. Your opinion?
