When my Ice Maker fills with water, the valve does not shut off resulting in water filling up the ice tray, bin, down to the bottom of the freezer and out the door when it's opened. It is a continuous flow. Can this be fixed with a new water inlet valve (AP3160649) or is it a different problem? Ice maker has worked for 7 years prior.

C,

You're most likely correct in your diagnosis,

You probably have a sticky water valve solenoid/diaphram(more likely than a bad ice maker fill contact).

Part number: AP3160649

Good Luck,
