Default Evaporator fan not working
Model Number: GSS20IEPAWW   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years   

My son has a side by side freezer fan did not work.Bottom of fridge and freezer freezing not in top.Replaced evaporator fan motor.Still does not work.What should I do next?

i am a GE authorized company and there is a recall on that model if your serial is between ZG2-AL2 This recall intails a new main board and a evaporator motor which will fix your problem

Default Refridgerator and freezer reoair

Serial number LF214475 does not fall under recall?What do I do next?

Your failing evaporator motor blew out the mother board. You can blame GE for this, they designed it this way. Just order a new board available by clicking on your model #.

Sorry this doesnot fall under the warrtanty by one year or you could call GE to verify not under recall but it does need a control board

Problem solved.Repair man found a burnt wire.Thanks for all of your help.
