Default sulfer taste in water and ice
Model Number: 363.50227000   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 5 - 10 years

Have owned side-by-side fridge since new. Never a problem with internal water cooling or ice maker system. Recently have had ice cubes and water frrom the door dispenser (internal water cooling reservoir) taste/smell terrible. It is a smell simalar to sulfer. Have replaced external in-line filter (different brands) several times. No change. Have taken bottled water and froze it in freezer, no odor or taste with resulting ice. Problem seems to be a result of water "sitting" in internal tubing and a chemical reaction. If water is ran out of internal reservoir by filling up glass after glass, the taste eventually goes away. At least for about a day. The fridge has no open food or other items that may cause the smell/oder. Do I need to replace all internal tubing associated wirh the system??? Or can I flush the system with something??? Thanks...
