compressor
Model Number: 10697700583 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
Compressor comes on for a few seconds then goes off. does not cool or freeze. Relay, run capacitor or overload protector bad?

That is most likely the problem, unplug the unit. Remove the start device and see if it rattles, if so that's your problem. It's best to replace all the compressor electricals.
