I removed worn out icemaker model # IM #S 106 626640 from Maytag frig., model # MSD2758DRB. I want to install used icemaker model#CAN5 WR30X0318. Wornout icemaker has 4 wires and plug to connect to Maytag refrigerator. The used replacement icemaker has 4 wires and a round connector. I want to remove the round plug and splice the original plug onto the replacement icemaker. How do I decide which of the 4 wires attaches, to which of the other 4 wires?

You'd be better off orderring a wire harness,

Part number: AP4070261
Part number: AP4070261

Or remove the sheath off the harness and hope the wires are colored coded the same as the replacement ice maker.

You decide which way , but I would replace the ice maker, if it were me.

Good Luck,

:) :) :)

Thank you, so much for responding to my post. I rarely use email, and this the 1st time I have ever posted a question. I have abandoned the idea of using an icemaker that does not match the worn out icemaker I removed. For $15 I got an identical model to the one I removed. Thanks again, JohnnyManCan with a little help from his friends.
