defrost malfunction
Model Number: jsd2789atb Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 5 - 10 years
my refridgerator started getting warmer and warmer,so i looked in the freezer, and the back wall was totally frosted over. so i took it apart and the evaporator coil was totally iced up.i defrosted it and replaced the defroster heating element.now,after two weeks,it seems to be frosting up again.does this mean the defrost timer is bad too,and how hard is it to change?

Here is your parts breakdown
Replacement parts for JENN-AIR JSD2789ATB REF - SXS/I&W | AppliancePartsPros.com I am assuming that the heater you replaced included the defrost thermostat. Is not that difficult to replace the defrost board. Following is a manual although it is not for your specific unit but I think your covers etc are close, See Page 2-15. 16010154 Maytag Refrigerator Service Manual - ApplianceDigest.com You will have to join the site to get the manual but it is free and a great site for appliance info.
