I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator with ice and water on the door. The control panel that switches from ice to water and shows temperature is malfunctioning. None of the buttons work and the panel just flashes 00 00 and alternates to running 000000 across the panel.

I ordered a new "interface control panel" (Part #WR55X10663 and part #93 on the freezer door diagram- from Appliance Parts Pros and installed it. It was fairly easy... only three wire connections. I unplugged the unit first before installing the panel. When I plugged the refrigerator back in, the panel still read the same. Flashing 00 00 and alternating to solid zeros.

I would think there could only be one or two other parts that could cause the problem? Can you offer any advice? Maybe the solenoid assembly part #36 in the freezer diagram? These are all fairly simple parts to install, so I was trying to do it myself.
