Model Number: ZIS 48D Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
My compressor was recently replaced and a spacer was placed at the top of the refrigerator door because both the refrigerator and freezer were slowly warming up. When I say "warming up" I mean they were not staying cold. No they are completed room temp or a little cooler. The compressor seems to be working. It is warm to to touch and vibrating like powered up. The fan is blowing air constantly over the fins of the evaporator. Lights work, water dispensor works but can't keep food cold or frozen. Also no ice. thank you.

Sounds like you still have a sealed system problem.
Remove the freezer cover so you can check the evaporator coils. If the compressor has been running continuously for a couple hours you should have a fairly even coating of frost on the coils. If not then you have a sealed system problem. Could be the compressor, a plug in the system or freon problem. Hopefully your compressor repair came with a warranty. If it is a freon problem you are just wasting your time re-filling it unless the leak can be found and fixed. I always advise that if there is a sealed system problem that buying a new fridge is probably the best way to go. Sealed system repairs are costly and their long term success rate not great.
