defrost issue
Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
I have had defrost issues with this fridge before. I replaced the adaptive defrost timer. The coil still frost'ed over. I have unplugged the defrost heater in the freezer. When I check for continuity I have conntinuity from each of the white (common) legs to the black leg. I am assuming that the heater may be bad.

Most commonly it's the defrost thermostat (aka bi-metal)
