Sears/Whirlpool Ice Cuber

Model Number: 198.887482 Brand: Sears Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Sears Ice Cuber (ice machine). It is making ice on freezer plate, but doesn't seem to release ice sheet to allow it to slide onto cutter grid. Any suggestions? I'm thinking I need to replace the evaporator thermostat. Any one know?
