one of my techs were called out on a frig that wasnt cooling, he called and said evap fan wasnt running . I told him try the board so he did and everything was fine for two days and the board caugt on fire at the resister and the evap motor fryed to. but he didnt hook up the ground :eek: wire for the board so i thought that was the problem,i replaced both things and two days later same thing so now i replaced frig... maybe short in wire harness? please give me some feedback to what this is really so i can save the company money..:confused: :D

GE designed the evaporator motor drive to fail if the evaporator motor failed!
Only thing I can think happened is the new evaporator motor was in fact a bad one sent back!!
One other detail, these motors are sensitive to burnout of the bearings due to moisture. It is necessary to add the slinger/umbrella to the motor shaft when installing!
