Whining noise in freezer
Model Number: PSC23NGSACC Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
While the refrig/freezer is running, a whining noise seems to be coming from the freezer. The pitch changes and cycles like a siren.

Open the freezer and remove the rear panel to expose the evaporator section. I'll guess you will see a lot of snowy frost built up, and the evaporator fan blades rubbing on the ice. If not, it may just be hitting some of the surrounding material, and need to be adjusted.
If you do have the Ice build-up, it's a good indication that you have some kind of defrost failure, such as a burnt-out defrost heater.
