We have a Kitchenaid side by side fridge/freezer, model KSRW25C. 6 months ago ist started making an intermittant growling noise. We called a tech specialist and the problem could not be found. Now it is growling loud about 20-35 minutes every hour. It sounds like a rotation growling and is loud enough to hear upstairs in the evening.

Is this a compressor problem maybe? A fan bearing? I hate to keep paying for tech service call repair charges and not find the problem.

Pull the refrigerator out of the wall, remove the rear cover and try to pinpoint the source of that sound. Post the results.

The model number you posted is incomplete.
