I have a Danby refrigerator model D9604W. It is a manual deforst refrigerator. I recently moved my apartment. Before I moved it was working perfectly fine, with frost all over walls of freezer. Now while moving the refrigerator remained off for 2 days because of which all the frost melted down. Now when i plugged it on,the refrigerator is not cooling.I checked back side of refrigerator and did not notice any leakage or breakage. Can somebody please suggest me what might be wrong and what should i look for in it.

I cannot find any info on this unit.
Remove the back cover and see if the compressor is running. Usually you can hear it. Also you should be able to feel it vibrating and it should be warm. Is there a fan by the compressor? If yes is it running?
If it is on and you have no cooling then you have a sealed system problem. It will be an expensive repair as you need a pro. It is usually better to put the dollars towards a new unit. |
