Default water/ice dispenser
Model Number: TFH30PRTB WW   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

The rubber door on the dispenser continues to open and close on it's own. I took the unit out of the door (not totally because you can't get to the wires) and could not get it to stop unless I opened the freezer door. I need to know what causes this and is there a way to shut off the dispenser unit without unplugging the entire refrigerator?

I would be suspecting the dispenser board ref. # 53 or #39 in this breakdown, access and unplug the wires from this board...

Thank you - I have unplugged the dispenser from the board. Now I can go on vacation with out the worry of this happening while I am gone. Will changing this board rectify the problem. Or is there something else that may be causing this?
