water dispenser switch stops compressor until ti gets unplugged

My refrigerator compressor stops working as soon as you press the handle to dispense water or ice.....and you have to unplug the fridge and it turns back on till you press that dispenser again..somebody please tell me what could be wrong...I am a seperated father of 2 girls and can't afford a large repair bill ..I am hoping I can fix it myself.:)

Your motherboard in the back controls the water solenoid, sends power to it when you press the fountain dispenser water switch. Most probably a bad board, wiring to it probably ok. Order it here, AP4436216
