is this a sigh the waterfilter needs replasing pleas recomend if so

But to be honest, there are other possibilities, Is the water dispenser in the door, also slow to fill a glass ? Usually it could be with a clogged filter or low water pressure/flow to the fill valve. You could also have a weak or clogged ice maker fill valve, Part number: AP4298908
Or even a bad control mechanism in the icemaker, Part number: AP3851327
As I'm sure you can tell, several things need to be checked or replaced for your particular complaint. Did this happen suddenly, or was there a noticable decline in the amount of or size of the cubes ? You may want to start by checking and flushing the water supply line and replacing the water filter, under the circumstances, that's where I'd start. Good Luck, :) :) :)
