Here's my issue....
Have a two year old LG French Door Refer Model LMX25981 and while it will make ice, it refuses to drop it unless I put it throught the test function. What this tells me is that it works OK it has just gotten stupid about dropping the ice. Now I could just keep putting it through test, but that seems a bit much. After reading some things here on the net I am wondering what I was thinking when I bought this thing! We have replaced the whole icemaker unit after reading through the service manual and the owners manual (they were not much help) and I still have the same issue. Anyone else experience this and what was the solution?

Just an Update - did an online chat with LG and they were unable to help. They referred me to two repair techs. Now I don't have a problem with having someone come out to repair a fridge - but really??? A 26 month old $3300 refrigerator and the ice maker stops dropping ice? Serious quality control issues! Heck, my last fridge is almost 17 years old and it's still working in the garage.......
