Freezer & Refrigerator Not Freezing or cold enough
Model Number: TPX24SRY Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
My side by side is cold on the freezer side but not keeping frozen things except for the ice in the ice maker frozen and the refrigerator side is cool but not cold. Anybody have any experience with this on a GE Profile TPX24SRY? Ideas about what could cause this? My wife has medicine in the refrigerator that needs to maintain a cold temperature.

Here is the parts breakdown
Replacement parts for TPX24SRY models | AppliancePartsPros.com Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running? It is required to push cold air into the fresh food side. Are the evaporator coils heavily iced/frosted over? If yes then you probably have a defrost problem. It will show up first in the fresh food side and later in the freezer. Is the flapper/vent in the damper (Item 426 in Section 5) open? Check that the temperature knob for the fresh food side has not accidentally been moved to a lower setting ( higher temperature) Is the duct (Item 438 in Section 5) between the sides clear of food on both sides? It must be so that the air can circulate properly in the unit.
