Here is the parts breakdown
Replacement parts for MTB1972RW models | AppliancePartsPros.com

I think the following applies to your unit.
1. Remove two screws holding the Control Housing Assembly (Item 11 in Section 2) to Fresh Food ceiling.
2. Remove Control Housing Assembly by dropping it down and sliding it forward to release drain tube from back wall.
3. Disconnect wire harness plug from ceiling. You may not have to do this step.
4. Disconnect wires from light switch.
5. Squeeze tab to release light switch from the assembly. It should then push out the front.

If the light does not come on, and the bulb is good, alot of times, what happens is when you screw the bulb into the socket, there is a little metal tab on the bottom of the light socket. Well, the tab is to far down, and it is not hitting the bottom of the bulb to make contact. So, what you have to do is, unplug the refrigerator, and take the bulb out, and get your flashlight, and you will see the metal tab. Just get your screw driver out, and pry up that tab a little, and then put the bulb back in, and plug the refrigerator back in, and see if it works, before you buy a new switch.
