how do i find out if my defrost timer is as continuous run application or a cumulative compressor run application?

You have to look at the wiring diagram.
I cannot find any info using just the model number you included.

Often the wiring diagram is tucked or taped under the unit in the compressor compartment or the kick plate.

If the timer is hooked directly across the power in then it is continuous.
If the timer motor is wired in after the thermostat it is cumulative.

You could mark a spot on the timer cam and somewhere on the cover so that you can tell if the cam is rotating.
Watch it when the compressor is running you should see it rotate.
Then turn off the unit using the thermostat and see if it still rotates.
If it does not then it is cumulative.

Note: One revolution of the cam can be anywhere from 6 to 12 hours, so you will have to let it go for half an hour or so to see any movement.
