The icemaker on our kitchenaid superba side by side refrigerator has been randomly dumping ice the last 2 weeks. We noticed that the ice bin wasn't filling about 2 weeks ago to the point that it emptied and never refilled. We checked and there was ice in the mold, it just wasn't dumping. We had a repairman out 2 days ago and he said it was the module because when he removed the cover, a little tiny plastic tip had been broken off and he explained that it would lodge in the gears and not allow it to turn or dispense ice. Approx. 24 hours later, still no ice dumping into the bin. After 48 hours, the bin is nearly full. However, I noticed that the red light near the icemaker on/off switch is inconsistently on/off. At times, when I open the freezer door, it is off. Other times I open its blinking. Is there a connection to that light and the ice dropping into the bin?
