for awhile the fridge would run and all the fans would operate just not get cold, ordered a relay and installed it and now only the light works...nothing else. Install was very easy and hard to screw up...any ideas?

Did you see if the defrost timer is stuck in defrost? Just get a screw driver and turn the little cam clockwise. Also check the thermostat. Those are the only 2 conponents, that could shut down the whole refrigerator, other then not enough power. Just because the light is on, does not mean you have all the power. well after awhile of sitting plugged in the fridge is back to fans starting anf then as the compressor is ready to turn on the overload makes a snap noise and a green flash comes from it and the compressor does not run. the start relay was just replaced

Take all the conponents off the compressor, and put a hard start kit on it. The part # is RCO-410. The compressor need an extra kick to come on, and this will do it. It replaces the overload and relay. The instructions are right on the part. Tom ********************************************
