Im assuming, since you didnt state it, that there was no change when you plugged the appliance to several other outlets. Instead of testing for voltage on the machine side of the line cord, and possibly electrocuting yourself, a safer test is to test the continuity and / or the resistance from the hot to the neutral wires of the line cord. If it shows an open circuit or infinite resistance from one terminal of the plug to the other, further test for continuity and / or resistance from one end of the line cord to the other. If the line cord passes all these tests, all i can say now is you have an internal wiring issue, since even if an individual part failed, in almost all cases, it would not cause symptoms like yours. Thank you for including more info than "it stopped working", that way we can give better refrigerator repair
advice to you.
edit: I checked your model number, and the line cord is no longer available as of 12/28/09, so you might have to consider a refrigerator repairman
for additional help.
