Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

My side by side has stopped getting cold on both sides. I thought it was the Overload WR08X10025 because it was rattling when I took it out (even though it Ohm tested at 0). Well I replaced it and that was not it.

Condensor fan is working. I don't know if the Evaporator fan is working.

The compressor is room tempature and is not making any noise. It does not appear to be working. I am not getting any voltage reading from any combination of the three wires. Should I be able to read an electical current from the Overload and Relay?

I did not take it apart to see if the coils were freezing up, but it was unplugged for days prior to putting in the Overload. When I put the Overload in, it never got cold so I assume the its not the defroster.

Please provide me some input on what I should check next. Should I do some tests on the motherboard or take it apart from the inside to check the Evaporator fan?

Thanks!!

Pull the motherboard and check the back near the power relay, probably bad solder joints, very easy to re-solder.

Looks like I have an issue with the motherboard. Check out the sooty looking connection on the back of the board. It looks like it is from the module shown in the other picture.

Ok, I need a motherboard. Should I be concerned about what caused it? What are the recommended next steps?

Thanks!

They have a newly designed board that should be more reliable, when they wave soldered your old board, they didn't get a good solder connection at the relay pins.
