I jumped online and found an inlet valve and installed. Wala!! Problem is fixed! Water now comes out of the dispenser! I now have 2 new valves after $50 in parts and my wife thinking that I'm overly obsessive!
Now another issue! Water does not exactly stop coming out when I release the switch. It goes for about another 20-30 seconds. I have to stop about half way filling a glass. Also water does seem to come out a bit slower compared to what I have seen with other units. It might be normal, I'm not sure? Anyway, what can I do about the streaming water still coming out after I release the switch? |

Run about a half a gallon of waterthru it to get all the air out of the lines and it should stop doing that.

Yes there is a tank inside the frig. Does it need to be filled entirely to start off? Should it always be full as I dispense water?
I assume water is drawn from the dispenser to the front of the door. Water then is pumped back in the tank from one of the valves? Should the tank always be full? |

The tank should be full, if it has an air pocket in it you will have the symptoms you are getting do as abadfish stated above.
