We us this fridge as our beverage fridge and for extra freezer space. About 2 months ago I went out and noticed that things were starting to defrost in the freezer. I pulled everything out. emptied the water pan and hosed off the front underneath of the fridge. I then unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and everything was fine. 2 days ago the freezer started defrosting again, I pulled everything out and tried the plug in trick, but it did not work. Today when I checked I noticed that the fridge is also not getting cold. There is condensation of all the bottles and cans. What steps can I try before I call out a repairman?

You said "I went out" is this a garage fridge.

If yes then depending what the ambient temperature is, it will not run correctly.

The defrost cycle comes on, melts the ice off the coils but also adds heat to the freezer side. When defrost is over the compressor does not come on due to the ambient temperature and the warm air is the blown into the freezer compartment.

Yes it is a garage fridge. It has been about 50-70 degrees in the garage over the past few weeks.
