Hi All. I need help replacing part #28 in the picture below. I tried to take the auger apart but I couldn't get part #31 off. Tried to remove with pliers and had no luck. Any suggestions? Also, once I get part #31 off do the spacers and ice blades (parts 18-24) just slide off?

Thanks for your help!

The plastic locknut has reversed threads. Yes, these parts just slide off.
