hi every one i need help please, the evaporator fan has been replaced, since then the right side (vegetables, grocerys etc...) everything inside gets frozen, i did check the evaporator is half way icy, also checked the heather defrost isnt working at all, the compressor only turn off when you do manually, thanks

Here are your parts, includes a wiring diagram. Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FRS6R4EB6 Frigidaire/refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.comIt sounds like the Adaptive defrost board is shot as it controls the defrost and also the damper that regulates the amount of air going into the fresh food side. I would still check the heater and defrost thermostat just in case one of them is also gone. If not on. Unplug the unit. Remove the wire for one side of the heating element from the wiring and measure it for continuity, usually around 20 ohms or so. If the heater is OK Remove one wire to the defrost thermostat and measure it, should be 0 ohms when frozen. Note that it opens just above freezing so must be frozen to check it. Also inspect it, if it is bulged at all replace it even if it measures OK. |
