icemaker makes ice ok, but it over fills the ice tray and water get all inside the freezer. i removed the icemaker and defrosted and it looks ok. i then plug in the icemaker but let the icemake hang and put a bottle over the fill tube and it almost filled up a 16oz bottle. I'm not sure how the water inlet solinoid vale is cycle to shut off. by time, or signal from icemaker? i cannot see any place where the icemaker would sense the water and shut it off. so basically my problem is icemaker overfills (not leaking) the tray is full of water it just gets too much water. any suggestions??

Take the end cap off the icemaker and see if there is a screw down in a little hole that has a + & - sign beside the hole. if so try adjusting it to the - sign for less water.

Leave the bottle on the tube, when the icemaker cycles, put a volt meter on the watervalve. You should ONLY get power to the watervalve for about 5-8 seconds. If the water keeps coming after the power is cut to the valve, Replace the VALVE!!! If you get power to the valve for more than 8 seconds, Replace the MOTOR in the icemaker!!:)

there is no hole with an "A" the only holes are l,m,n,v,t, and h and none of them have a + or - sign.

Its easier to go right to the water valve, that way when the power stops going to the valve, you can check to make sure the water stops!
