I have a Maytag side by wide fridge. I recently bought parts for the freezer door #s 10, 12 and 15 in the diagram. Are all three parts needed for the door? My technician says that I only need to use #s 10 and 15. I understand that 12 is also needed but don't understand how the three parts fit together. Can you explain? (#10 is the pin -lower, #12 is the door closer and #15 is the closer, door - (w/cup) )

It should be self evident when you take it apart.

If it has broken so you cannot tell how they fit together just take a look at the fresh food door, looks like they are the same.
Note: that they will be left hand / right hand.

Thanks for your feedback. I have looked at the diagrams for both doors on APP and at the fridge door and am none the wiser! Is it that #10 slots into one side of #12 and then into #15. If so, what happens with the other hole in #12? Freezer door seems to be operating like fridge door when my technician installed parts #10 and 15 - that is raising and falling as the the door is swung shut. Regards, TP

Sorry but without being there I cannot help any more.

Probably what parts are required is dependent on what parts are broken.

Hopefully someone who has worked on one of theses lately and remembers how they fit together will jump in.
