The chute area of the ice dispenser it's building up lots of frost. The hinged door of the chute seems to be sealing well. What could be the reason foir the frosting? I've noticed that there are a couple of heating elements in the assembly, could any of them be the cause of the problem? The frost its inside the freezer door not outside of it.

Check the integrity of your freezer door gasket as well. Of course, if it's leaking warm air, you should see frost in more areas than your dispenser chute. Usually, the chute frosts because the flappeer either doesnt completely seal, or gets jammed with ice particles.

Thank you magician59, I guess I will get a new flapper, should I replace the spring as well part 218209800. Is there some kind of instruction write up as to how to dis-assemble the ice dispensing unit. I have pulled it out before but never took apart the components. Thanks again
