My Maytag refridgerator is leaking water inside -- it appears to be pooling up in the control unit up top. I can feel water inside the part near the back ? A few weeks back I pulled everything out of the freezer - took off the back panel and there wasn't any frost buildup. Appears to be a clog up in the unit inside the fridge -- is this the damper ? How can I fix this ?

Thanks

Most likely the problem is a clogged and/or frozen drain line. You can find an ideas and solutions in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...igerator-back-froze.html

Just think i fixed my problem, My drain was not frozen but my water tray was full and not letting the water drain from the tube. I think because my fridge is on such a slope that the the water tray was not moving the water where it should have been distributed on the other end of the tray. Pushed the tray up to make it level. Hopefully this works.
