Hello,
Here is my situtation. I broke my DaeWoo compact cooler's thermostat, and now the refrigerator is not working. I am looking to purchase a replacement thermostat. No luck on finding a geniun part. Is it alright if I install another manufacture's thermostat into this compact cooler?

Any advice will be appreciated.:)

those units aren't built to be repaired. If its a two wire thermastat you can tie the two wires together and put it on a timer there are universal stats available you need to know the cut in and out temps which is usually posted on the control
