This model refrigerature has the ice maker in the freezer and the reservoir on the inside of the freezer door. The ice maker reservoir frosts up and ice locks release of reservoir from the door as well as freezing the ice together to keep it from entering the discharge chute. Ice at the top of the chute inside the rubber flap then melts and the water drips into the tray on the door exterior. Two service calls from Sears technicians indicate that all models of this refrigerator frost up and nothing can be done to keep moisture from collecting in the reservoir and freezing up the working parts of the reservoir.

Do other people have this problem and if so, have they found a solution to keep the moisture inside the freezer from freezing up the ice dispensing mechanism? If so, I would appreciate hearing what the solution can be, and whether any Whirlpool or Sears personnel have addressed this problem to find a solution?

Thank you
