Ice dispensor motor not working. Water will dispense so I swapped the two activator switches in hte front side of the door to see if it was that. Still had the same problem and water still dispensed with the other switch. How do you access the motor? I tried removing the pannel under the ice bucket but am affraid to break if I pry too hard. I removed the front cover on the door but could not get the scondary panel off. Again didn't want to pry too much in fear of breaking.

Does it work, if you select a different type of ice (for instance, if you normally use cubes; try selecting crushed, and see if the result is the same).

Yes I tried both cubed and crushed

I don't have anything that comes close to your model number. Is your ice dispenser in the door, or is your ice maker attached to the side of your freezer?

Sorry I did a typo on the model number. It is GS6 not GSS.
