I need to replace the ice dispenser flap and spring on my fridge. Using a flashlight I can see that it isn't closing properly and causing the shoot to frost. Where I'm stuck is the proper way to remove the front dispenser panel. As always I can play around, but would like to limit my risk of breaking something. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Ihave never taken one of those off myself, but by looking at the breakdown it looks like you could use a putty knife to release the tabs aroun the trim to get it off and get to the door flapper.

would you happen to know how to gently remove the ice/water dispenser cover for a Frigidaire FRS6L9EFS*? My husband broke the water paddle! They are expensive enough $70+ can't afford to have a repair person come out to our farm!

I can't remove the tray. I ran masking tape around the trim and have slid putty knives under and have tried to loosen and pop off the tray, but it won't move. I'm afraid that it will break as I have put alot of pressure on it. Am I right that-that is the only way to the rest of the screws?
