bad tasting ice

Model Number: elite Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years

The ice has started getting a bad taste, we find like strips of fine paper or greenish black stuff in the ice, Iv'e emptied the bin and the next batch taste the same! this is the second or third time it's happened it almost seems like it cycles through?
