I ordered the compressor and the parts to go with it. How do I insert the capilliary tube into the new drier, when the manual states not to braze b/c of moisture.

I use silver solder and rosin paste.Cut the end of the dryer with a cutting tool, keep the dryer vertical to prevent rosin clogging the capillary tube. The end of cap tube must be filed on an angle and the hole cleared with a pin. Make sure to not insert it too far, or it will bottom on the internal micro-screen. Use rosin on the cap tube at least a 1/2 inch from the end, and none on the end to prevent rosin clog.
If rosin does enter the cap tube, you can blow it out while heating it and using nitrogen pressure. If no nitrogen, the compressor high pressure will blow it out.
To re-charge, you will need a refrigeration license to buy refrigerant, a set of gauges, and some more info.
Before trying this, what tells you the compressor is bad?
