ice maker problem
Model Number: ksrb25fhss02 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 5 - 10 years
Just replaced ice maker and it seems to be working except the water keeps freezing up in the down tube to the maker. What is causing this, and what can be done. This happened 6 months ago also, I cleared it out and it worked fine. This time it keeps freezing in the tube. I am sure every thing is installed correctly.

Most of the time it's a drippy valve not shutting off completely after a fill and water continues to dribble in, then that water drop turns to ice then next time it fills it leaves another drop until pretty soon it has frozen the tube up I would replace the fill valve in the back of frig where waterline hooks up
