Hi all,

I have a Kenmore Coldspot m/n 1067688362 with definite defrost cycle failures. Evaporator coil is covered in ice. Issue is, I can't find a defrost timer or control board on any schematic, therefore have no idea how to start troubleshooting the components. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I also could not find what controls the defrost so can only let you know the usual locations for a defrost timer. Tried Sears Parts but could not find it in their parts listing/breakdown.

Often it is in the control console in the fresh food section. There is usually a hole in the cover to let you rotate the timer cam.

Sometimes it is mounted behind the kick plate on the front of the machine or the cover at the back of the machine.

Den,

I've torn this thing apart looking for the timer, with no success. Thanks for trying though.
